About HPS Mechanical,
Inc.

HPS is a plumbing company serving Southern California, with emphasis on Public Works projects in Kern County, San Luis Obispo County, Northern Los Angeles County, Fresno County, and San Diego County.
History
HPS Mechanical Inc. was started as Harrys Plumbing Service
in 1959 by Harry DenHerder. He had one truck that he used for service
calls, and he built up the business with a solid reputation for
doing the best work in town work at a reasonable price. HPS continued
to grow and focused mainly on service and remodel plumbing until
it was purchased in 1976 by Harry's son, Les DenHerder. Since then
HPS has continued into new construction, pipeline, engineering and
plumbing design services in Southern California. Were still
known for our technical expertise and quality work, just on a larger
scale. HPS is a progressive company, now fully computerized, and
dedicated not only to meeting the needs you have today, but to anticipating
how we can continue to serve you tomorrow.
Quality
HPS offers services
for Bakersfield residential
plumbing repair and plumbing contracts in Southern California
for commercial, municipal, industrial piping and military projects.
HPS carries out most of its work as a mechanical contractor specializing
in plumbing and piping as well as performing site utilities in support
of the mechanical systems. In California, HPS is licensed for general
engineering and general building and holds specialty licenses for
plumbing, HVAC, pipeline, fire protection, septic, and boiler.
HPS performs all work
with its own forces except for insulation. We have a core crew of
140 permanent field employees and can expand to meet any required
schedule. Although 60 percent of our work is performed as a subcontractor,
HPS does bid specialty projects as a prime contractor. HPS also
is capable of design/build projects, for both private and public
owners.
Safety
HPS has an excellent in-house safety program for both general liability
and workmans compensation. Losses for both of these items
have been less than 15 percent of premiums for the last 10 years.
HPS also provides E & O insurance as needed. Because of our
safety record our insurance limits are much higher than whats
normally provided by other construction companies, providing additional
benefits to owners and general contractors.
Teamwork
In addition to clients, HPS has strong, positive relationships with
its vendors. These vendors are crucial to competitive pricing and
timely delivery of materials essential to keep projects under
budget and delivered ahead of schedule. Using this interwoven team
of experts, HPS is able to provide the expertise and support needed
for success on your project. As with the ranks of HPS there is little
turnover in our vendor teams because we strive to develop mutually
beneficial relationships with potential for long-term growth and
success.
